We offer four years of intense instruction, internships, clinical rotations, as well as advanced research in the field of medicine. Our curriculum features a comprehensive progression of courses ranging from basic medical concepts to advanced diagnostics.

How do I join MedSci Academy?
Current 8th grade students who live within the Fort Bend ISD school district are able to submit an online application. The 2015-2016 applications are now open. Applications close February 5, 2015. Students who submit an application to the Medical Science Academy will be invited to participate in an interview on either February 10th or 11th at Dulles High School. It is very important to enter a valid email address in the online application. We will email applicants once the application has closed regarding their interview date and time.
What are the requirements of a MedSci Academy student?
- Complete five Medical Science credits in a coherent sequence inclusive of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology as identified by the Medical Science Academy pathways on campus.
- Must be enrolled in preAP, AP, Honors or Dual Credit science all four years inclusive of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the campus.
- Take and pass all appropriate course certifications.
- Participate in four approved medical science activities annually.
- Complete 100 hours of community service while enrolled in the Academy.
It is recommended that students complete Algebra I prior to the start of their 9th grade year.
It is not required for an academy student to take other PreAP or AP courses but highly recommended. Taking advanced academic courses provides our student with a competitive edge when applying for college and/or an academy supported industry positions. We encourage our students to take PreAP/ AP math and Computer Science courses. In order for a student to have a competitive college application they must take Algebra II and will also need to have taken or be enrolled in Pre-Calculus their senior year of high school. We also encourage, if feasible, for students to take speech and health online during the summer months. For more information about online courses please contact your academic guidance counselor.
